A Supportive Community Group for Adults living with Prader-Willi Syndrome
Club 15 is a group for people who are 16 years or older and living with Prader-Willi Syndrome. In Club 15, members can share information, ideas, and join in social events. It’s a safe and supportive place where people can make friends, learn new things, and be part of a community.
Club 15 also gives members a chance to help make decisions for others in the Prader-Willi Community and plan important events.
What Happens at Club 15?
Club 15 meets every month. Sometimes we meet in person, and other times we meet online. If you can’t come to the meeting in person, you can still join online. The meetings are held on the last Monday of each month.
At the meetings, we have presentations, listen to guest speakers, share information, and enjoy social events. It’s a great chance to learn new things and have fun with others who understand your experiences. Each meeting is led by a different Club 15 member, with help from the facilitator. This helps everyone get a chance to lead and share their ideas.
What is a Facilitator?
A facilitator is someone who helps make sure everything in Club 15 runs smoothly. They help organize the meetings, book guest speakers, and send out meeting plans and notes. The facilitator is there to support members and make sure everyone is involved and understands what is happening
What can you do in Club 15?
As a member of Club 15, you can:
Share your ideas and experiences
Learn from guest speakers and presentations
Join in social events and make new friends
Help plan and lead meetings
Be involved in making decisions that shape the group
Mentor Program in Club 15
Club 15 is designed as a mentor program where members can support each other.
Lead Mentors are people who have experience and skills. They help others, lead events, and take part in important meetings.
Trainee Mentors are people who want to learn how to be mentors. They work with Lead Mentors and help at events. This program is a great way to learn leadership skills and help others in the community.
