After your child is born and the hospital has made a diagnosis, they are likely to refer you to a developmental paediatrician. Here in Victoria the Royal Children’s Hospital and Monash Children’s Hospital each have specialists that are well experienced in Prader-Willi Syndrome. 

It is important to establish a good  care team as soon as possible-A holistic approach is best practice with clear ,consistent and regular communication between all members of the care team which include some /all  of the endocrinologist ,paediatrician, respiratory specialist , ,psychiatrist dietician ,occupational therapist, speech therapist ,behaviour psychologist , exercise physiologist ,educators ,family and support staff.
